We'll Have a Brief Pause

I've been practically non-existent in posting rides. Mostly because I have not been riding. Not by choice; let's be very clear on that.

I'm working my way through a health thing, for which I am getting treatment, and it is working, and I'm done at the end of October.

I plan to stage my stunning recovery in November.

That said, the treatment is such that I am very, very anemic. While I'm lobbying the doctor for some EPO, he hasn't gone for it yet. Hence no more riding. Well, ok, I did ride up through my neighborhood to drop something in the UPS drop box. It is annoying when 4% is that hard.

Perhaps it is time for a brief nap.

In the meantime, here's some pretty yarn pictures:
Handspun

Loot from Frog Creek Fibers

And my spindle. I was overcome by the desire to learn to spin...
I seem to improve with practice

Hey, you'll be getting better at about the same time as my step-dad. He's celebrating by taking part in a half ironman triathlon in Malta - nothing like breaking yourself in gently, is there?!

We hope you feel better real soon, all the best for a speedy recovery.

Would the stunning recovery include, say, the Verboort populaire? Just curious.

Verboort. Dunno. As much as I'd like to, I wasn't kidding about going from 0 to 200km. Or even 100km. Verboort would be, like, just a few days after the completion of the treatment. That said, I *did* get the prescription for EPO; just waiting for the pharmacy to get it in.

No wonder I didn't see you during RSVP!
A great ride -- much better than STP
